    Cooperation between the Management Board and the Board of Trustees

    The division of responsibilities between the Management Board and the Board of Trustees is based on the model of a public limited company: the Management Board manages the foundation's business, while the Board of Trustees advises and monitors it. The joint Foundation Committee, which is made up of the Board of Trustees and the Management Board, deals with fundamental issues relating to the Foundation's strategic direction.

    Honorary Chairwoman

    Petra Herz

    Petra Herz has been Honorary Chairwoman of the Joachim Herz Foundation since 2016. She had previously been Chairwoman of the Foundation since its establishment in 2008 and took over its management after the death of her husband Joachim Herz.

    Petra Herz is available to the Foundation in an advisory capacity as Honorary Chairwoman.
