Dr. Ariane Neumann

Dr. Ariane Neuman has been responsible for strategy development at the Joachim Herz Stiftung as Strategy Officer since June 2023. Prior to this, she had held various strategic and operational positions in university management in Berlin, Hamburg and Erfurt since 2006. Neumann most recently headed the Presidential Department and the Strategy Department at the University of Hamburg and played a key role in the university's successful application in the Excellence Competition.
She holds a doctorate in political science and studied modern German literature, political science and modern history at the Free University of Berlin, Washington University in St. Louis and the Université de Caen.
